Europe - Day 12 - Yeverdon to Zurich

Today was fairly uneventful, and can be summed up with two quick stories: expensive taxicabs and even more expensive bad mexican food.

Expensive taxicabs: I took the train to Zurich separately from David, as he still had business in that area of the country. Arriving at the train station in Zurich, I hopped in a cab, and gave the driver the address to the hotel. A 15 minute and $20 cab ride later, I was let off at the hotel, only to find that I was exactly across the street from the train station! I'm not sure if the cab driver was trying to cheat me, or that if he himself didn't really know where it was until we got there, but I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt and not say anything. This time.

Expensive bad mexican food: For dinner that night we took a walk to we had heard there were a lot of great restraunts, and after perusing the selection, we fell to the allure of mexican food, not having had it in weeks. Since we had such a great experience in Kyoto, we thought maybe we'd get lucky again. No dice. The bill for chips, guac, and two main entrees was well over $100, and this did not include the emotional pain of our server forgetting David's entree, bringing the wrong one when finally reminded, and having to deal with panhandlers inside the restraunt.

Well, tomorrow is another day...
