Tokyo, Japan - Day 5

Today I took a walk through the red-light district, which was interesting, but not quite as exciting during the day as I suppose it would be at night.

I saw a lot of these signs, which I think was advertising for a music group.  I think.

There was an American Club/Honkey Tonk bar along the way.  I'm not quite sure why this big dude is the mascot, but I'm sure we could come up with a few analogies.  Evidence of the red-light district is on the billboard behind the big gorilla.

Some more street fashion:

I bet these streets look crazy fun at night when they're all lit up.  A tad junky during the day, though.

Another trend alert!  The Manbag.  They're everywhere.

I have no idea what this building is, but I thought it was interesting.  Note the ever-present McDoald's sign.  It's like Where's Waldo - it's always there if you look hard enoungh.

I only got lost twice today, which is better than yesterday, when I didn't know where I was for most of the afternoon.  Tomorrow - the world's largest clock!  Woot woot!
